Well, we’ve made it through another season, and whilst some teams fate is cemented, there’s still all to play for in some instances. In DIVISION ONE (Sponsored by TM Heating & Plumbing) the bottom two are set in stone, with Walnut Whips and Captains Seaman taking the trip to Division Two in the Summer. At the top it’s looking good for Ministry of Pool, who have a two point lead over Gurneys, and whilst Gurney’s have a tough match away at Old Konks Donk, Ministry of Pool will be more confident of a result at The Dark Side, themselves happy to avoid relegation with four wins in their first season at the top table.

DIVISION TWO (Sponsored by Prowash catering Equipment Suppliers) is done and dusted, with Bristol House Sharks Two points (and a load of frames) above Join the Cue, who have a bye tonight anyway. Even so, Join The Cue themselves are six points ahead of third placed Social Rack Pack and will go up in second regardless of any results. With just on win, The Social Bunch are glued to the bottom, but Frames Shockers and Cardboard Cutouts both sit on eight points above them. Frames Shockers won’t be confident of win as they have the aforementioned Sharks this week (who have only lost one this season), whereas the Cutouts travel to The Crew, who they beat at home earlier in the season. No pressure though…

There’s a battle for the top of DIVSION THREE (Sponsored by BK Installations) this week, as top team AFDs play second placed The Legends at home. As both are on the same points the winner will take the title, leaving Regency Rapscallions in third as although they are only two points behind their inferior frames difference means they can’t catch whoever loses. AT the bottom are Originals Practise Night, The Regency and Bristol House Bandits, on four, six and six points respectively. Originals Practice Night are on a BYE tonight so will stay down, but the other two are fighting for the safe spot. The regency can be done a favour by stable mates Regency Rapscallions, whilst Bristol House Bandits need to beat the team above them, Original Headcases, at home to guarantee staying up as their frames difference means that if tied on points they will end up higher in the table.

It’s been good to see Headhunters back on for in DIVISION FOUR (Sponsored by DK Metals), sitting top by two points and enough frames to mean only a catastrophic loss to Frames Villains would piss on their victory parade. Frames Villains, however, will not be sitting back as they have a very real chance of taking second from 49 Club is they beat the leaders and 49 Club lose to the Bear Behinders, though this is an outside chance as the Behinders are already relegated along with bottom side Rack N Roll.

The top of DIVISION FIVE (Sponsored by Cue Corner) is wide open, with four teams within two points of each other. The only team whose position is set are bottom side The Misfits, but that’s only because their frames difference is too much to catch up second from bottom Black Balls Matter. The two are playing each other, with BBM needing to win and have Frames Fugitives lose to third placed Walnut Warriors by enough of a margin for them to leapfrog them. It’s all maths, as it is at the top, where Soggy Biscuits will win the title should they beat mid table Borough Boys at home. Lose, though, and Usual Suspects can take the top spot should they beat fourth placed Tavern Townies. Then again, if they BOTH lose, Tavern Townies would win the division if they beat Frames Fugitives. Confused? Yeah, you’re not alone.

Finally, DIVISION SIX (Sponsored by AP Signs) is Worlebury Shankers to lose, and all they need to do is beat Claremont Wallnut at home (on their sloooow table) to be sure of the league title. If they lose, however, and W.ancaster beat The Deck Hands at home (they should) then they would win. Though two points behind the other two, 49ers can still be victorious but only if the top two lose and they then beat Allstars Shamrocks at home (again, they should). That said, in W.ancaster lose it means a win will take them second regardless of the score. Logic and past results say that all three are likely to win and stay in the same place, but you never know…
